Li Yang

Li Yang (S'04) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2002 and 2005, respectively. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta.

He is a Graduate Research Assistant with the ATHENA research group at the Georgia Electronic Design Center. His research interests include Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, characterization of organic substrates for RF applications, and the design of wireless transceivers for sensing and power scavenging applications. He was the recipient/co-recipient of the 2008 IEEE IMS Student Paper Honor Mention Award, 2008 IEEE APS Symposium Student Paper Honor Mention Award, 2007 IEEE APS Symposium Best Student Paper Award, the 2007 IEEE IMS Third Best Student Paper Award, the 2007 ISAP Poster Presentation Award, and the 2006 Asian-Pacific Microwave Conference Award.
